Bourton Tourism Levy Consultation 2025/26
A 60p Car Parking Tourism Levy is applied per session at Rissington Road car park in Bourton-on-the-Water to help manage visitor impact.
The levy funds local improvements such as dropped kerbs, path resurfacing, waste bins, parking enforcement, riverbank upkeep, and the Village Green. Ongoing annual commitments include a Village Warden, parking enforcement, and maintenance of green spaces.
After accounting for annual costs and a 2024/25 underspend, approximately £80,000 is available for 2025/26 projects.
The Parish Council has drafted a list of proposed projects based on local feedback. You are invited to prioritise these and suggest others. Please score each project in the survey below from 1 to 5, 1 being your lowest priority and 5 being your highest. You may score as many or as few projects as you like.
Paper copies are available at The George Moore Community Centre, Bourton Post Office, and Bourton Library. Please return completed forms to the Parish Office or Post Office by Thursday 31st July 2025.
The top-ranked projects, within budget, will be considered at a Councillor Decision Meeting in September 2025. Results will be shared shortly after.
Thank you for taking part.
Kind Regards,
Mike Evemy
Leader of Cotswold District Council
